The Villages encompasses approximately 57 square miles, approximately 5 1/5 miles wide and 11 miles long. It and has over 150,000 residents.

There are 60 golf courses in The Villages - 14 Championship courses, 42 Executive Courses, and 4 "Pitch & Puts".  That's well over 700 holes of golf!

There are over 3000 clubs in The Villages with a myriad of activities. 112 Recreational Facilities, 110 pools, 241 pickleball courts, 15 softball fields, 4 polo fields, more than 100 restaurants, over 100 miles of golf cart paths, and over 10,000 acres of nature preserves and parks.

There are 4 distinct areas that people refer to: North of Hwy 466 (includes Spanish Springs town square), "Between the 6's" - the area between Hwy 466 and 466A (includes Lake Sumter Landing town square), South of 466A , includes Brownwood Paddock town square, and the newest area - South of Hwy 44 (includes the upcoming Eastport town square).
