Destinations outside The Villages
While there are so many things to keep you busy inside The Villages, there are some pretty cool attractions just outside as well. You may want to take the grandkids to Disneyworld, Universal Studios or Sea World. Here's the approximate drive times from the Villages to some destinations in Florida:

- Kennedy Space Center - 1:45

- Orlando Intl Airport - 1 hour
- Legoland Florida - 1:45
- Clearwater Beach - 1:45
- Apopka Wildlife Drive - 1 hour
- Ana Maria Island - 2 hours
Central Florida also has several natural springs, many of which pour out hundreds of thousands of gallons of water each day. The water is crystal clear and 72 degrees all year round. Excellent for swimming, kayaking, or inner tubing. These make for a wonderful day trip. Here's some videos highlighting each of the springs:
